A Bangasa to Celebrate Enho-Seki’s New Juryo Division Rank
A lovely couple who visited our store sought a strong bangasa (sturdy umbrella), and we recommended Tsujikura’s original brand banagasa “Kiwami” in Scarlet. They requested that we write on it in semi-cursive writing the name of their favorite professional sumo wrestler “Enho”, to wish for his continued success.
Furthermore, they sent us a wonderful photo of the finished bangasa being held.

Since 1958 Grand Sumo tournaments has been held in six places per year, and Enho-Seki has achieved the brilliant feat of being the fourth person in history to tie in first place for speed of promotion from a non-ranking sumo wrestler over tournaments in six places.
In the March 2018 Spring tournament in Osaka, he performed amazingly in the Juryo division, and we pray that he will prosper and go on to the Makuuchi divisions and Sanyaku (top three highest wrestler) ranking in the future.
