Indigo Flower / High Quality Tsukiyakko
Indigo Flower / High Quality
TsukiyakkoThis Japanese parasol has a beautiful, flowing pattern of plum blossoms on a deep indigo background. The plum flower has long been loved as a symbol of hope and grace. The plum blossoms are elegantly arranged like a flowing river, and the design with movement attracts the viewer's attention.
Indigo is one of the most deeply calming and graceful of Japan's traditional colours. The moment it is unfolded, the scene is as if plum blossoms are blooming in an indigo-dyed sky.
High Quality Tsukiyakko
A traditional Japanese umbrella with a traditional pattern, favoured and carried by people with a high sense of beauty since ancient times.
The beauty of the light and dark colours of the pattern stands out in the appearance of a single wagasa umbrella, which is made to look like a moonlit night.
The ‘Tokusen Tsukiyu’ is made using the advanced techniques of skilled craftsmen. Each piece is made by hand with meticulous attention to detail.
Materials and craftsmanship
Handmade Unryu paper is used, which allows light to pass through softly, giving it the warmth and lightness of a natural material. The frame and handles are made from carefully selected natural materials to ensure not only beauty but also durability and ease of use.
Ideal as a special gift or for celebratory occasions, this Japanese parasol is recommended for those who want to enjoy the harmony of tradition and modernity.
En -
Before a single Japanese umbrella is made, there are various craftsmen who make the bones that form the framework, make the parts called the potter's wheel that connect the bones, and make the Japanese paper. Tsujikura's craftsmen then make the umbrella into a single piece.
Wagasa is made through relationships between people, and these relationships are then passed on to customers and the next generation. Tsujikura's Japanese parasols are named ‘En’, meaning ‘to connect’. We will devote ourselves to making wagasa every day so that we can expand our connections with people all over the world.
Please note that it cannot be used in the rain.
