Hyogo Prefecture Designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property
This umbrella will be used by the Old Matsubara Village Lion Dance Preservation Society at the Nadanokenka Festival (Nada Fighting Festival), a fall festival held at Matsubara Hachiman Shrine. The shrine is located in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, which is next to Osaka Prefecture, and the prefecture has designated it as an important intangible folk cultural property. In this umbrella, the crests are drawn by line and overlap. We heard it would be used on the grand stage, so we made it with nervous anticipation.
