The Gion Festival, a festival held by Yasaka Shrine, is registered by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is the most famous festival in Japan, and is held yearly in July in Kyoto. We are incredibly honored that our Japanese umbrellas were chosen to be used in not only the grand procession of floats, on the famous first float of the parade called the Naginata-boko, but also from the arrangement period of the religious services to the final shrine ritual. The Gion Festival crest and the Naginata-boko crest both have real depth.
