The long rains that fall in June and the season around that time. It is called the rainy season because it is the season when plums ripen.
Although it may seem sticky and annoying, this rain hydrates plants and helps crops grow.

When it rains, I remember the excitement I felt as a child, putting on rain boots and a raincoat and purposely walking through puddles.

Now that I'm an adult, I can smell the rain, listen to the sound of it, and walk around with my umbrella.
