In Japan, umbrellas have long been popular as the perfect gift to celebrate the beginning of new life, as their "wide-open" shape represents an opening at the end, or in other words, a prosperous future.

As we are gradually liberated from the days when celebrations were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are receiving an increasing number of inquiries about hand-painted umbrellas in brush cases for use as welcome boards at weddings.
